Michael Creagen awarded the “Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee” Medal
In January 2022, our photographer Michael Creagen was awarded the “Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee” Medal by Lt. Governor Arthur LeBlanc, for his service to the Crown and contribution to the Arts in Nova Scotia. The medal was awarded to a select few Nova Scotians who have made a significant contribution in their lifetime.
Michael has been a working photographer for 42 years, photographing US president Barack Obama; Prime Ministers from Pierre Trudeau to Stephen Harper; gonzo journalist Hunter S. Thompson; and has photographed numerous Royal Visits, including Lady Diana 1983 and Queen Elizabeth 2010. He also teaches photography at the University of King’s College School of Journalism.
