Thank You To Police Has No Limits

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

TRURO – Sixty police officers who patrol Truro and Colchester County are getting more than just condolences from residents in the wake of the Moncton shooting.

Members of the Truro Police Department, and all of the officers in the Bible Hill and Millbrook RCMP detachments, are being offered free tickets to a June 25 event featuring a presentation by Canadian astronaut, Chris Hadfield.

“It has been a time of great challenge and sorrow for our friends in the policing community,” says Dianne Kelderman, President and CEO of the Nova Scotia Co-operative Council, promoter of the Truro event. “As a token of our thanks and appreciation to our local heroes, we are offering four tickets to every officer so they can take in this uplifting event with their family.”

Chris Hadfield headlines the evening at the Rath Eastlink Community Centre. Other speakers include Laurie Skreslet, the first Canadian to conquer Mount Everest, and Kristen Christian, a popular social media guru from California.

“As our officers struggle to deal with the loss of three comrades, it is our hope a night of inspirational storytelling will help lift the burden, if only for a few hours,” said Ms. Kelderman.

The No Limits event is open to the public. Tickets are available through TicketPro.ca and all TicketPro Outlets
