Junior Achievement Nova Scotia

Junior Achievement Nova ScotiaThe Nova Scotia Co-operative Council is a proud supporter and educator of youth in our province.

Through a successful partnership with Junior Achievement Nova Scotia, the Council has created and expanded curriculum designed to educate students about the co-operative model.

This successful, strategic partnership has allowed us to reach of over 16,000 students throughout the school year from Yarmouth to Glace Bay.

Additionally, Junior Achievement has added an option for a co-operative version of their most popular high school program – The Company Program.

The co-op version of this program runs similarly to the original Company Program, however students open their bank accounts at their local credit union and are introduced to co-operative concepts.

Our sponsorship has allowed three student companies across Nova Scotia to run their co-op start-ups since the start of the 2012 school year.
