Co-operative Management Education at Saint Mary’s University offers rigorous and dynamic programs for co-operative management professionals. International CU Training In Halifax in June

 

The Credit Union Development Education Program (CanadaDE) is coming up June 4-10 in Halifax. This will be a truly inspired, international CU event. A FEW SPOTS LEFT!

 

It’s an intense, deep dive into addressing pressing issues that credit unions are facing. Managers, board members and keen staff are all welcome. This is a great opportunity for problem-solving, networking, innovating, shaking up thinking, recommitting to the principles and values, and so much more. Although this program has been offered around the world for decades, this is the first time it is being offered in Canada (in partnership with CaribDE – established Caribbean program).

Co-op Study Tour to Croatia in July

 

Learn about co-operatives in Croatia while enjoying Istria – the ‘Tuscany’ of Croatia – with Roman and Venetian architecture, medieval towns and beaches, famous for truffles, olive oils and award-winning wines! This tour is organized by the Co-operative Management Education (CME) programs in the Sobey School of Business at Saint Mary’s University (Canada) under the expert guidance of Dr. Sonja Novkovic, co-operative economist and Academic Director for CME. Sonja will lead this tour, which is based in her home city. Participants will have the opportunity to meet co-operators and discuss current issues while visiting agricultural co-operatives, an ethical bank co-op, social co-operatives, and others.

 

Cost: 1,495 Euro (includes accommodations based on single occupancy, meals, tour transportation in Croatia, co-operative sector speakers and co-operative site tours)

 

*This tour is a perfect opportunity for those travelling to the World Credit Union Conference in Vienna or WYCUP youth event, scheduled to happen just before (and travel to Vienna after is easy).
